2020 TeeTime Passbook Editions Spread

Going all the way back to 1992, TeeTime Golf Pass (TTGP) began as a small regional program in south-central Pennsylvania.  Through the 90’s and early 2000s, TTGP expanded into the Mid-Atlantic region and began to produce nice results in larger metro areas like Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Virginia Beach.  The company began as a small family-owned business founded by Jim and Sue Curtis and decided to keep it that way when their son, Jesse Curtis, changed careers in 2005 and took control of operations.

Since that time, TTGP has grown from a few local golf courses to more than 1,100 facilities in 14 states.  The Midwest Edition began in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania in 2008 and quickly grew into the remainder of Ohio, and then into Kentucky/Indiana and Michigan.  The book grew so large, two other editions were created in the Lower Midwest Edition and the Upper Midwest Edition.  The Northeast Edition covers northern New Jersey, northeast Pennsylvania, and lower New York.

TTGP is very thankful to have been blessed with such great people in its organization and to be working along with the wonderful owners and operators of its partner facilities.  Jesse, now sole owner and president of TeeTime Golf Pass, Inc. says, “Everybody wins in our program – the golfer, the golf course, and us.  We’ve tried to work hard and to work smart, but we give God the glory for our success.”

Why A Golf Passbook?

Advertising/promotion plays a key role in business success

Traditional golf passbooks are effective advertising tools

Passbooks connect directly with target audience… avid golfers

Attract new customers and generate supplemental revenue

Discreet promotions do not displace full rate customers

Advantages of passbook versus internet marketing

• Facility keeps 100% of all golf revenue
• No costly expense such as barter/trade times
• Facility maintains total control of pricing and tee sheet
• Customer contacts facility to book tee time
• Virtually no effect on price integrity or existing marketing

Why Your Golf Facility?

The golf business is more challenging today than ever.

Positioning your facility to better compete is critical.

What Our Partners Are Saying

“TeeTime Golf Pass has been the perfect addition to our marketing strategy. It is bringing golfers to our slow days, and it has no negative impact on our regular daily fee business. It has been a pleasure working with TeeTime Golf Pass.”

HUNG C. CHOW, General Manager/Golf Professional The Virtues Golf Club, Nashport OH

“TeeTime Golf Pass is the only play program we use. This year Pine Hills is on track to generate about 1,500 rounds and nearly $40,000 of revenue – all during off-peak times. We have seen groups of golfers from the east side of Cleveland that otherwise would not have played our course and many of these come time and time again.”

DAVID KINNELL, PGA Director of Golf Pine Hills Golf Club, Hinckley OH

“TeeTime Golf Pass gives us full control over pricing and other options that allow us to maximize our tee sheets. We see a steady stream of players that are not members or cardholders at our facilities. Filling slow times on tee sheets is a challenge these days and TeeTime is a great partner to assist with that.”

JOE RAHNIS, Director of Golf Operations Baltimore County Golf, Towson MD

“I track redemption rates for all our discount advertising and every year TeeTime Golf Pass is at the top…and the best part is we control the rates and redemption periods all for free.”

RUSSELL GARTNER, PGA Director of Golf Operations Boone County Golf Courses, KY

“TeeTime Golf Pass has helped our facility gain new customers and grab a wider reach. We’ve created repeat customers from the added exposure in the TeeTime Golf Passbook.”

ALEC GRANT, PGA Golf Professional Washtenaw Golf Club, Ypsilanti MI

“We use TeeTime Golf Pass exclusively as our only passbook to promote our facilities on a regional level and it’s done a great job without interfering with any of our other marketing.”

ROB HIGBY, Director of Golf Operations and Marketing CRC Golf Courses, Cincinnati OH

“TeeTime Golf Pass allows us to tap into a dedicated membership base of golfers who like to travel and play golf. Most of our TeeTime play comes from players who live an hour or more away. We love that.”

JIM MASON, PGA Director of Golf at Pendleton Golf Course, Ruther Glen VA

“I have seen a lot of different passbooks or small local programs come and go in my career, but none do it as professionally and deliver the results I’m looking for like TeeTime Golf Pass.”

RAY FINNEARTY, PGA Owner/Director of Operations New Era Golf, Columbus OH

“What I like about TeeTime Golf Pass is the fact we control the pricing and times and it doesn’t interfere with my other marketing. Since we are in the upper tier of pricing, we use TeeTime to encourage players to make our club a ‘must play’ every year.”

SEAN SWIDZINSKI, PGA Head Professional Olde Stonewall Golf Club, Ellwood City PA

“We have partnered with TeeTime Golf Pass for years. It has become a part of our everyday business and continues to be the only passbook that we use!”

RAY HEADLEY, Owner/Director of Golf Sable Creek Golf Course, Hartville OH

“Cross Creek has used Tee Time Golf Pass to fill empty tee boxes during our slow times since we opened. The program has worked exception- ally well and helped booster our bottom line year after year.”

BRIAN BOLTZ, GENERAL MANAGER – CROSS CREEK GOLF CLUB, BELTSVILLE MD

“Zoar Golf Club couldn’t be any happier being associated with TeeTime Golf Pass. The number of rounds that result from our inclusion in the book keeps the Monday thru Thursday tee sheet busy. I have many of the group leaders that tell me ‘the book’ determines their tour schedule. I have also found that the off-peak times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are return customers because they came with a group through the week. All of that said, I strongly encourage public courses that have too many gaps in the day to consider TeeTime Golf Pass.”

BRAD HAYNES, General Manager, Zoar Golf Club, Dover OH

Digital Golf Pass was created in 2016 as a complement to the traditional (Printed Edition) TeeTime Golf Pass. You can be confident that the print edition isn’t going anywhere anytime soon; however, our society and culture are continuing to evolve into an electronically controlled world and we wanted to be sure to go along for the ride. The convenience that the mobile option of the TeeTime Golf Pass program provides to our member golfers is very attractive to a certain demographic, typically the younger crowd.

Digital Golf Pass (DGP) is simply the duplicate program to TeeTime Golf Pass but offered as a choice for our member customers and delivered to their mobile device instead of the book. It is also very simple for our Partner Facilities to manage because it works the same simplicity that the books do. Instead of checking off a box in the book to redeem the deal, the golf course simply hits a button on the golfer’s mobile phone to redeem the deal. DGP is not an online booking engine. DGP does not tie in you your tee sheet. No monetary transaction between the course and DGP occurs. The customer still pays you 100% at the counter.

DGP has some advantages over the traditional passbook too. Partner Facilities now have the option to adjust to market conditions in real-time and add deals to the DGP platform throughout the year instead of just once a year. DGP shares data with Partner Facilities. Every round of golf redeemed through DGP at a particular golf course facility will be included in a monthly report sent directly to that particular facility. The name and email of the golfers who played that month will be included in the report so that the golf course may use that data for their in-house marketing.
